Unsaid in the video is to never agree to a telephone screening job interview unless you are prepared. To often, your cell phone rings while you’re walking down a busy street and the interview starts. Stop right now and get it rescheduled for the best time for you. Start preparing for all possible interviews as part of your weekly job hunt plan. Then when an interview is scheduled you’ll have already done most of the heavy lifting. You can put the finishing touches on your research on the particular employer, you confidence will be high and you’ll have a successsful interview. Can a job offer be far behind?

That’s a great point, John. If you receive a call unexpectedly, it’s a good idea to schedule the phone interview for a future time when you can be at a quite place, free of distractions, and fully prepared.
