Novel, Inc. is a 20-person startup company in Redmond, WA that has received
venture capital funding along with numerous accolades and awards. We

innovative consumer videogames and leverage videogame technologies for

Engineering:

Senior Gameplay Engineer
Job Description:
The Senior Engineer will be an integral part of the development team,
and must interact well with the design team to deliver gameplay
mechanisms, user interface functionality, and engine enhancements for
an in-development MMO.
Responsibilities
•    Develop new gameplay systems and assist in maintenance of those systems
•    Develop and enhance existing UI components
•    Integrate Engine codebase with Scripting Language, including
documenting scripting interfaces
•    Work with Design Teams to iterate on gameplay system and engine
architecture

Human-Computer Interface Engineer
Job Description
The Human-Computer Interface Engineer is a critical team member for
our project to optimize the ease of use of human interaction with our
products, and to analyze and quantify human motivations based on
Computer Interaction.  The idea candidate is a cross-discipline expert
in Computer Science and Psychology/Sociology.
Responsibilities
•       Design and implement algorithms and analytics tools for the
quantifiable analysis of human behavioral characteristics based on
game/simulation interactions

Game Server Engineer
Job Description
The Game Server Engineer will expand and enhance a Cloud Computing
Server and Database Architecture for a realtime MMO experience, in
addition to researching and implementing new technologies to maintain
numerous high stability, high availability online services.
Responsibilities
•       Maintain and enhance existing Client-Server technologies
•       Work with Technical Director and Development team to architect new
Cloud-Based MMO Technologies

Director to create gameplay for simulation and training games. Work
will include creation of game and system design documentation, as well
as creating and maintaining creative vision during production.
Responsibilities
•       Work with Creative Director to design training and simulation games
•       Collect game requirements from clients
•       Design and document core gameplay mechanics
•       Write Game Design Document (GDD) for products
•       Collaborate with engineering on creation and review of features
